
David Paul Nanney, 61 of Whitwell was called home on Wednesday, December 31. Born on December 29, 1964 in Waukegan, Illinois, he was the beloved son of Boyce Nanney and Laverne Wilson Nanney. David lived a life rooted in love, loyalty, and simple joys. In his earlier years, some of his happiest moments were spent camping with his son and being involved in the Boy Scouts, creating memories that shaped both of their lives. He had a deep passion for football, a steady love for golf, and a lifelong devotion to Ole Miss that never wavered. Those who knew David will remember his easygoing spirit, his sense of humor, and the way he showed up for the people he cared about. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
David is preceded in death by his father Boyce Nanney.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother Laverne Wilson Nanney, wife Lisa Haynes Nanney, son Drake Bays, brothers Danny (Melissa) Nanney and Bobby (Angel) Nanney, nieces Tabitha Nanney, Amanda Bicknell, Andrew Nanney and Madison Nanney, several great nieces, nephews, as well as other family members and special friends.
Visitation was on Saturday, January 3 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. CST (1 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET) at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.
Memorial services were also on Saturday, January 3 at 2 p.m. CST (3 p.m. ET) in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, with Minister Daryel Haynes who officiated.
