Marion “Judas” L. Hale Jr., 65

Marion “Judas” L. Hale Jr., 65 of Jasper departed this life on Wednesday, November 19. Born on October 4, 1960, he was the beloved son of Marion Hale Sr. and Louise McCarver Hale.  Judas was a devoted husband to Linda Hill Hale and a faithful member of Mt. Bethlehem Baptist Church. He dedicated more than 30 years of service to TVA, retiring as a foreman and was a proud member of IBEW Local 721. His commitment to community and fellowship extended further as a Mason and member of Cumberland Lodge #90.  Beyond his professional and civic contributions, Judas lived life with passion and joy. He loved drag racing, cheered faithfully for the Dallas Cowboys and the Tennessee Volunteers, and found great satisfaction working on cars. Known for his generosity and willingness to help others, Judas touched many lives with his kindness. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family, who were the center of his world.  Judas’ legacy is one of hard work, loyalty, and love. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Judas is preceded in death by his father Marion Hale Sr., mother Louise McCarver Hale, sons Carlos Hill and Marion Hale III, daughter Maranda Hale, as well as brothers Rickey Hale and Scottie Hale.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Linda Hill Hale, daughters Anneka (Jamon) Bass, Cierra Hale and Dashica Hill (K. C. Hutchins), brother Anthony Hale, brother’s-in-law Charles (Virginia) Hurd, Chris Hill and James Hill, sister Vickey Middleton, sister-in-law Velma Hale, grandchildren Deshaun, Jamychal, Kaitlin, Kayla, Kiara, LeVeon, Kenla, Zayvion and Genesis, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and special friends.

Visitation was on Tuesday, November 25 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.

Funeral services were also held on Tuesday, November 25 at 12 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, with Pastor George Green who officiated.

Judas was laid to rest on Tuesday, November 25 at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball immediately after the funeral services were held.

Pallbearers were K. C. Hutchins, Rhyan Buckner, Kevin Mitchell, Malcolm McCain, Kahlil Mitchell and Kyan Mitchel.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Tate Funeral Home, LLC, 950 Mel Dixon Lane, Jasper, Tennessee 37347, 423-942-9500.
