This real picture postcard shows what the U. S. Post Office South Pittsburg looked like in 1939, a mere four years after its construction in 1935. The post office is currently still in use and there are serious efforts by the local citizenry and the South Pittsburg Historic Preservation Society to have it listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
