Charles “Chuck” John Rupert of the South Pittsburg/New Hope area, formerly of Erie, Pennsylvania, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 22.

Born on November 21, 1951, Chuck loved the outdoors and had a knack for both building and fixing almost everything he encountered.  He was quick to make friends wherever he went thanks to his outgoing personality, engaging way of storytelling, as well as love for karaoke.  A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, he majored in Forestry Services and worked for the Pennsylvania State Fish and Boat Commission for 30 years before pursuing work in private service.

He is preceded in passing by his parents Firmon Cline Rupert and Mary DeLuca Rupert of Erie, Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his loving wife Gloria Jean Rupert of 34 years, his daughter Amy Christine Hampton, sister Kathy Graeca and her husband Donald Graeca, his niece Lindsay Graeca and nephew Ryan Graeca and his wife Katie, great niece and nephew Emmy and Caden Greaca, as well as other extended family members including nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Chuck’s life on Friday, June 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Roger Webb.

Visitation will also be on Friday, June 27 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home prior to the Celebration of Life service in the chapel.

Chuck will be greatly missed, but his family and friends take comfort in knowing he is resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord.

Arrangements are entrusted to The South Pittsburg Chapel, of Rogers Funeral Home, 400 Laurel Ave, South Pittsburg, Tennessee 37380 (423) 837-7176.
