Larrell “Larry” Brewer, 76 of Jasper was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 2. Born on March 6, 1949 in LaGrange, Georgia, he was the beloved son of Charlie Brewer and Ruth Johnson Brewer. Larrell later married the love of his life Gladious Walker Brewer, with whom he shared many cherished years with until her passing. He was a devoted member of Kimball First Baptist Church and lived his life grounded in faith, humility, and gratitude. Larrell was a man of God in every sense. His quiet strength and steadfast spirit were evident in the way he cared for his family, his home, and the world around him. He found joy in the simple, peaceful moments, planting flowers, tending to his yard, and firing up the grill for some of his famous BBQ. His family lovingly remembers him as “stubborn and headstrong,” qualities that often made them smile and always reminded them of his determination and unwavering convictions. A true family man, Larrell treasured time spent with those he loved. Whether he was playing cards, sharing stories, or sitting on the porch listening to soul music, he embraced every moment and had peaceful moments. Smokey Robinson and Aretha Franklin were among his favorite artists, and their music often filled the air as he relaxed outdoors, soaking in the world around him. Larrell’s life was rich with love, laughter, and faith. His presence was a blessing and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
