Jacob Matthew Pickett, 25, of Whitwell, was called home on February 16. On January 5, 2000, Jacob was born to Robbie Pickett and Jeremy Holland. He was a Welder for Appalachian Steel. Jacob loved his jeep, mud riding and his family. He would help anyone that needed help and never met a stranger. Jacob was a loving son, uncle and brother.

Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Robbie Pickett; father, Jeremy (Jamie) Holland; grandmother, Robbie Eletta Durham; grandfather, Jack Pickett; sisters, Maranda (Michael Lawson) Pickett; nephew, Ryder Lawson; niece, Oaklynn Lawson; sister,  Amanda (Dakota Castle) Pickett; stepson; Cooper Castle; brothers, Trevor (Sarah) Holland, Kelby Holland, Elijah Holland; aunt, Heather Annette Pickett; first cousins, Tommy Lee Pickett, Gregory Allen Layne, Brianna Fulfer, Jacklyn Layne, several other family members, and many special friends.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 22, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
