Jaxon Layne, an eighth grade student at South Pittsburg Middle School, was recently selected as the winner of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6362 Patriots Pen essay competition. Jaxon’s essay was forwarded to the VFW’s 3rd District of Tennessee where he also excelled and won the District prize as well. Our congratulations go out to him for his efforts, and to the South Pittsburg Middle School educators for their assistance with this valuable program.
