Becca Knudsen of Marion County has recently been named the county Chamber of Commerce’s newest Administrative Coordinator, filling in the shoes once worn by former coordinator Jordan Newton.

During the Chamber’s recent member meeting, Knudsen was both introduced and welcomed with open arms by members, which included business owners and Chamber’s Executive Board representatives and members of the Board of Directors. Knudsen expressed excitement filling in the role, stating how she is excited to be a part of the team and work alongside others within the local organization.

“I’m excited to be here,” said Knudsen during the meeting.

Knudsen was officially hired in as the Administrative Coordinator on Friday, Jan. 2. She explained as Administrative Coordinator, it is her job to not only ensure the Chamber’s social media presence remains active and updated, but also to schedule upcoming events and check in with each of the program’s list of members spread out across the county.

“We want to get more word out to our community about what we have to offer as a whole,” said Knudsen.

During the meeting, all in attendance were given the opportunity to share their ideas on what the Chamber should focus working towards for 2026. Among one of the ideas shared is to bring new events into the community. Knudsen explained this is among one of her biggest priorities for her, as she aims to help not only bring new festivities within the county, but also attract new memberships for the Chamber as a whole.

“I’m coming up with ideas and asking for ideas,” said Knudsen. “I want to do something not only just for the adult membership, but also something family friendly that shows we are part of the community. And we want to support that.”

As the newest coordinator for the program, Knudsen is eager to turn her goals into reality as she and others of the Chamber look forward to serving the community once again for 2026.
