Logan Sanders, born and raised out of Whitwell, is Marion County’s up-and-coming country music artist who has major dreams of making it big in the music industry.

Sanders’ career first began in 2014. At the time, he was a member of the school band Rock Skool Chattanooga that performed at live shows before splitting in 2020. During the pandemic, Sanders decided to go solo and pursue country music, collaborating with music producer Sheri Thrower and engineer Daniel Dennis to create his first two singles “Wherever These Boots Take Me” and “Comin Home.”

Over time, Sanders gained recognition in country music, performing at various festivals and live shows in Marion County and abroad. His biggest show ever performed so far was during a live performance on Lower Broadway in Nashville back in September 2024. During the concert, he was invited to play his song “Been Mine” alongside country superstar Keith Urban, his longtime hero in music. Sanders explained how that moment for him was a dream come true both as a musician and fan of Urban’s music.

“I was just up there for one song, but that really solidify the moment of ‘yeah this is what I really want to do,” said Sanders.

Logan recently released his latest single “Coalmine Town.” The song was inspired by his personal life growing up within the Whitwell community, and how everyone he knew played a role supporting his music. He also explained because of the community’s support, he felt that he needed to write a song dedicated to his hometown to give back and express his appreciation.

“I’m just a guy that likes to write music and perform. And I’m lucky that people like the music want to listen to it live and just support me,” said Logan.

Logan continues to perform and write music in the hopes of making it to the top alongside big names in the country music world. Currently, he is working on a new single that will be titled “Tequila Tough.” The song is written by Sanders as well as Logan Platt and Treyson, JD, and Chaz Stafford of the band TRIPPP. He expresses appreciation for all the support received from his family, friends, and from all in the Whitwell community, as he further pursues his lifelong passion for making music.
