Kimball’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen recently approved the renewal of Accident and Sickness insurance coverage for the town’s Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.

Volunteer Firemen’s Insurance Services (VFIS), a nationally recognized insurance provider, specializes in coverage for first responders and emergency service personnel across the United States. VFIS offers a range of policies, including property and casualty insurance, as well as medical benefits for individuals facing cancer or other serious health conditions.

During this month’s city meeting, the board voted to renew the town’s Accident and Sickness policy, which is designed to help first responders, and their families manage the financial impact of injuries or illnesses. The coverage, provided through the Steve Frost Agency of VFIS, will go into effect on July 1 at a cost of $3,990.

The board unanimously approved the renewal, ensuring that members of Kimball’s Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department continue to receive the protection they need.
