This is one of about a half dozen different postcards of the Dixie Portland Cement Plant at Richard City which started in 1906. Richard City was on the Nashville Chattanooga & St Louis Railroad and located a mere mile from the Tennessee River, both of which contributed to the cement plant being built there. This postcard is postmarked July 5, 1909 and was mailed from Richard City to Salem, Oregon.
