This real picture postcard from 1950 shows a close-up view of the cave at Martin Springs. Signs say, “Help us keep the spring clean” and “No wading in the spring.” Wires overhead suggest the cave was electrified. There is a pump positioned in the back of the sign on the right which likely pumped water to the main house and the cabins at the tourist camp there. Thorton Martin, and later his two daughters, Beulah and Ann, owned and operated the Martin Springs Tourist Camp.
