Mayor Rex Pesnell of Kimball has recently made the announcement that the town’s upcoming Zaxby’s location is set to officially open by the end of this month.
Mayor Pesnell made the statement during this month’s October meeting, where he explained how he stopped by the site of where it’s being constructed to check up on its progress. He added how he was told by crew members on-site that the restaurant is expected to be complete and open for business by the latter portion of this month.
The ongoing project was previously approved for new site plans during the community’s June city meeting. During the meeting, the Board of Mayor & Aldermen unanimously approved site plans for the original Pizza Hut location at Kimball Crossing plaza. Prior to the new site plans, Zaxby’s was originally set to be built on property located off of Battle Creek Road. However, due to high costs that the property presented, representatives of Zaxby’s came forward to the town’s Planning Commission with the intent of placing it in Kimball Crossing instead.
As work continues, the project’s completion nears, with anticipation for its grand opening growing by the day throughout the community.
