On December 2, the Whitwell Saddle Club (WSC) held their annual banquet and awards ceremony to celebrate another successful and fun riding season.
The most recent WSC awards banquet recognized gaited, western, and speed events riders. The top riders in each division were given a custom gold belt buckle and reserve winners were awarded an embroidered duffle bag. As part of the saddle club youth program, 56 young horse enthusiasts received an embroidered insulated jacket. Members range in age from three months, riding their lead line ponies, to seasoned lifetime horse riders. The saddle club is proud to be able to provide a safe, fun, and competitive environment for local riders to enjoy.
WSC holds monthly horse shows at the arena located at 15201 Hwy 28 in Whitwell. The upcoming year’s show season schedule will be available in January. Further information can be found on the club’s Facebook page.
