Willie Sue Hill (Partin), age 88

Willie Sue Hill (Partin), age 88, of Decherd, TN passed away peacefully on August 27, in Winchester, TN at Viva of Franklin County. Born in Decherd, Willie Sue was a cherished member of the community and a devout attendee, before her sickness, of Gum Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She loved gospel music, especially Elvis, and really enjoyed singing in the church choir. She graduated from Franklin County High School in 1952. Willie Sue dedicated many years of service to the United States Postal Service, a career that reflected her commitment and work ethics. She was also a realtor for Century 21. She served on the Franklin County Commission for 16 years and was a member of the Planning and Zoning Committee. She also served on the Fair Board for many years. She was known for her love of the outdoors, particularly gardening, puzzles, and crocheting, which were among her favorite pastimes. Her greenhouse and flower gardens were a testament to her green thumb and dedication to beauty. Willie Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Kay Caldwell (Roger); son, Randy Hill (Donna); siblings, Molly Perry, Shirley Burch (Wayne), and Roy Partin; grandchildren, William (Bill) Drye (Tara), Kayla Lowery, Jonathan Hill (Amy), Jeremy Hill (Crystal), Jordan Hill (Julie), Amy Bryant (Jeff), Amanda Jones (Chris), Kelly Golden (Joey), Lucas Bradley (Monica), Joshua Bradley (Nakia), and Carrie Finchum (Allen); 18 great grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Everett Hill; her parents, Edith and Beelus Partin; and brothers, Joe Bill Partin, Johnny Ray Partin, grandchildren Jonah Isaac Bradley, Nathon Braxton Hill, brother-in-law Alton Perry and sister-in-law Mary Helen Partin.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, at Gum Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3366 Gum Creek Road, Decherd. Visitation on Friday, August 30, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. with service to follow at 2 p.m. Burial immediately following service at Watson Funeral Home and Memorial Park.

Services entrusted to Jasper Memorial Funeral Home, 150 Cornerstone Drive in Jasper.

Family requests that all donations go to Gum Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Memory of Willie Sue.

Willie Sue’s life was a beautiful example of love, dedication, and service, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished and celebrated by her family, friends, and community.
