On January 8 the Town of Jasper’s board of alderman and mayor met for their monthly meeting, in which Mayor Jason Turner offered his report regarding updates and city plans.
Mayor Turner reported that the town has received a grant for a stage and with the contribution of the city totals to a $1,000,000 entertainment spot coming up. The grant will cover the stage and pavilion, as well as restrooms and a concession stand. Officials are currently waiting on the contract for the grant to begin construction.
Afterwards, as Mayor Turner mentioned, the city has future plans to rearrange, accommodate, and update surrounding areas. Stay tuned for the fun and exciting happenings in Jasper.
