Terry Mack Johnson, Sr., 69, of Jasper, was called home on Friday, November 29. He was born to the late Carl Mack Johnson and Margaret Pauline Cagle Johnson on June 18, 1955. He was married to Merrie A. Johnson. Terry was a self-employed painter for 30 plus years and was of the Baptist faith. Terry was a family man and enjoyed having a good time while socializing with family and friends. He loved to play music and loved classic cars.
Terry is preceded in death by his father; wife, Merrie A. Johnson; father and mother-in-law, James and Charlotte Smith; brothers, Gary Johnson, Jimmy Godsby; brother-in-law, Gregory Cannon; sister, Linda Godsby and sister-in-law, Kimberly Johnson.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother; son, Terry (Natasha) Mack Johnson, Jr.; daughter, Heather (Benjamin) Chambers; brothers, George Ronnie Johnson, Carl David Johnson, Delbert Earl Johnson, Michael Godsby; sisters, Katherine Johnson (David) Grider, Peggy (Michael) James; grandchildren, Anna & Alexander Chambers, Kaidyn & James Colton Mack Johnson; several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
Visitation is Wednesday, December 4, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral services are on Wednesday, December 4, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper with Pastor Ronnie Case officiating.
Terry will be laid to rest on Wednesday, December 4, at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball immediately following the funeral service.
Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard to present military honors.
Pallbearers are Keith Summers, David Grider, Josh Cannon, Zach Fitz-Gerald, Alexander Chambers, Colton Johnson and Mack Johnson.
