This 1940s image looks upstream toward Hales Bar Dam & Lock on the Tennessee River at Guild. The picture was no doubt taken from the Marion Memorial Bridge and is one of 25 or so postcards known of the Hales Bar Dam. This scene would change dramatically when Nickajack Dam was built in 1967 as most of the area to the right in this image would be inundated by water.
