Shirley Dianne Mosley, 69

Shirley Dianne Mosley, 69, of Jasper, Tennessee, was called home on July 16.

On January 17, 1955, she was born to the late James B. Mosley and Edna Mae Billingsley Mosley, where she was one of eight children. Shirley graduated from Marion County High School and then attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She then furthered her education by attending Tennessee Tech University where she received her Master’s degree. Shirley taught school in the Marion County School system for twenty years. She was a very intelligent woman. Shirley loved watching TV and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Shirley is preceded in death by her father, James B. Mosley; mother, Edna Mae Billingsley Mosley; son, Nathan Mosley, whom Shirley devoted herself to his care until his passing; brothers, Waymon Mosley, Earl Mosley, Harold Mosley and Darrell Mosley.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Natasha (Mack) Johnson, Sherie (Greg) Lehr; brother, Michael Mosley; sisters, Debbie (Terry) Cooper, Peggy (James) Sims; grandchildren, Ben Mosley, Kaidyn Johnson, Colton Johnson, Gavin Lehr, Tripp Lehr; great grandchild, Memphis Mosley, who was very dear to Shirley’s heart; several special nieces and nephews, other family members and special friends.
Visitation is Friday, July 19, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee. There will be a memorial service on Friday, July 19, at 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper with Pastor David Moses officiating.
