Sharon Kay Lawhorn, 75

Sharon Kay Lawhorn, 75 of Jasper was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 27. On April 4, 1950, she was born to the late Harold James Peden and Ruby Babbs Peden in Logansport, Indiana. Sharon was married to the late Raymond Lawhorn until his death. Sharon worked for the Marion County Sheriff’s Department as a dispatcher. She loved gardening, watching Hallmark movies and soap operas.  She enjoyed cooking Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. She would do anything for anyone, for she was full of love. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Sharon is preceded in death by her father Harold James Peden, mother Ruby Babbs Peden, husband Raymond Lawhorn, mother and father-in-law Homer and Mary Jane Lawhorn, brothers Bob Peden and Pety Peden, sister Jane Miller, as well as sister-in-law Glenda Lawhorn Holland.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons Jason (Amy) Lawhorn and Scott (Connie) Kilgore, stepdaughter Candy (Keith) Garner, grandchildren Hannah Lawhorn, Bryant Lawhorn, Mandy Edwards, Mason Anthony and Rex Lawhorn, several nieces, nephews, as well as other family members and special friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, August 31 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.

Graveside services were also held on Sunday, August 31 at 4 p.m. at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, with Pastor Nicholas Pickett who officiated.

Pallbearers were Matt Roberson, Mason Anthony, Jacob Willis, Michael Peden, Bryant Lawhorn and Cole Janeway.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Tate Funeral Home, LLC, 950 Mel Dixon Lane, Jasper, Tennessee 37347, 423-942-9500.
