The middle school gym buzzed with excitement as students in grades 5–8 gathered for this year’s annual spelling bee, an event that showcased perseverance, vocabulary skills, and school spirit. A total of 24 students took the stage to compete, each ready to spell their way to victory.
After an intense competition that stretched an impressive 12 rounds, Jo Cruz, a 7th grader, emerged as the champion. Jo clinched the win by correctly spelling the final word, “rickety,” earning well-deserved applause from classmates, teachers, and judges alike.
Finishing just one step behind was Collin Green, also a 7th grader, who earned the title of 1st runner-up after an outstanding performance throughout the bee. Collin’s consistency and confidence kept the audience on the edge of their seats until the very end.
The school community congratulates Jo Cruz and Collin Green on their achievements and applauds all 24 students who participated for their hard work and courage.
