Sarah Tanner Rollins, 89

Sarah Tanner Rollins, 89, of South Pittsburg, passed away on Thursday, February 6, surrounded by love.

Sarah and her late husband, Andrew, were owners of the taxi stand in South Pittsburg, and they had a bus contract for Marion County School Board of Education. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in South Pittsburg and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a loving mother, but her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchild were her world. She loved front porch sitting and watching the hummingbirds and red birds.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Lee Tanner; husband, Andrew Rollins; grandson, Clayton Griffith; daughter, Deb Ledford.

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Rollins and Angie Womack; grandson, Tyler (Amber) Griffith; great grandson Bodie Griffith; grandson Drew (Savannah) Womack; and great grandson, Waylon Womack; granddaughter, Leigh Anne White; great grandson, Tanner White and great-great grandson, Ryder White. Extended family includes Janie Johnson (Larry and family), Sandy Rollins Patterson (and family), Elaine Allen (Keith and family), Karen (Jeff) Clay, Kim (Greg) Carden.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 10, at 2 p.m. in the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Case officiating.

Sarah will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, James Andrew Rollins at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tennessee.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday, February 10, from Noon to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral service in the South Pittsburg Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Drew Womack, Tyler Griffith, Tanner White, Dustin Pittman, Shannon Womack and Carter Womack.
