Ruby Holder, 98

Ruby Holder, 98, of South Pittsburg, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 22. Ruby was born to the late Lee Dalton and Mary Jane Crowe Dalton on December 11, 1925. She was married to the late Milburn Holder. Ruby was a member of the Victory Baptist Church. She was an Avon Representative for 40 years and also worked at South Pittsburg Knitting Mill. She loved to crochet and quilt. She loved indoor and outdoor flowers, cooking and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruby also enjoyed traveling.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents and her husband; son, Terry Holder; brothers, Roy Dalton, Tom Dalton, J. L. Dalton, Ben Dalton; sisters, Ruth Reynolds, Tula Rector and Louise Degast. She leaves her memories to her son, Leslie Holder (Donna); daughter, Charlotte DiTullio (Tom); sisters, Vannie McLeod, Mary Ann Williams, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation were Monday, February 26, from noon to 2 p.m. Funeral Service immediately followed at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, with Pastor Ronnie Case officiating. Burial was at Beene-Raulston Cemetery in South Pittsburg, after the funeral service. Pallbearers Jake Holder, Nathan Dennis, Jay Holder, Aaron Holder, Luke Holder and Darrell Talley. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Hospice of Chattanooga and the staff at Signature HealthCare in South Pittsburg. Special thanks to Nurse, Brandy, for her care of Ruby and her family.
