Ray H. Hamrick, age 80 of Whitwell passed away on Wednesday, March 19. He was a member of Whitwell Church of God, retired from US Pipe and employed by the Marion County Convenience Center. Ray served in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Jo Rector, parents Paul & Leona Hamrick, siblings Paul Wayne Hamrick, Margie Roberts, Kenny Hamrick and James Hamrick, as well as great grandchildren Declan & Remington Handy.
Those left to cherish his memories are his children Bobby Howard of Ringgold, GA, Missie (Eric Maynor) Rigsby of Dunlap, TN and Eddie (Candy) Hamrick of Ringgold, GA, siblings Roy (Susie) Hamrick, brother-in-law James Roberts, grandchildren Jesse (Kristen) Rigsby, Jacob (Olivia) Rigsby, Jordan Rigsby, Jeremiah Whitmire, Tierney Howard, Nisa Handy, AJ Bond and Stephanie (Matt) Rogers, great grandchildren Jayden Rigsby, Kolsen Rigsby, Kamden Rigsby, Jacob Eden Rigsby, Ezra Rigsby, McKenzie Rigsby, Sawyer Rigsby, Briggston Meyer, Atle Radunzel and Coy Rogers.
Memorial Service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 5 at Whitwell Church of God.
