This postcard from the late 1920s is of Rankin’s Ferry on the Tennessee River between Guild and Shellmound, Tennessee. The ferry was replaced in the early 1930s with the completion of the old Marion Memorial Bridge that was between this area and Hales Bar. The old ferry landing was inundated by Nickajack Lake after the completion of Nickajack Dam in 1968.
