Phyllis Ann Stevens born in Jasper, on April 12, 1957, and was a resident of Jacksonville, FL for the past 33 years, passed away at Orange Park Medical Center on January 11.
Phyllis graduated from South Pittsburg High School, Class of 1975. She was a graduate of Concord Institute as a Medical Assistant and was also a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
She was married to her loving husband, Robert P. Stevens (Bob) for 41 years. Phyllis loved crafting, shopping, dancing and spending time with her family. She was always the life of the party and brought joy to everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Cantrell, William Bill Wilson, Daisy Sue Keef and Jennie Wilson and her brothers, Robert Cantrell and Lee Cantrell. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Acuff Milton and her husband Ronnie Milton, Sr., her son, Jason Acuff Sr., her son, Adam Carson, her sisters, Ella Wilson and Mandee Key. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, Jason Acuff, Jr., Ronnie Milton, Jr., Daisy Milton, Faith Milton, Grace Milton, Destiny Carson, Matthew Carson, Alyssa Carson, Brandon Carson and many nieces and nephews that always loved her as a mother rather than an aunt.
A viewing was held Tuesday, January 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. Phyllis then went home to Tennessee, where a viewing was held on Friday, January 19, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Home, 400 Laurel Avenue, South Pittsburg. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 1 p.m. in Rogers Funeral Home followed by interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Bridgeport, AL. Pallbearers were Robert Stevens, Jason Acuff Sr., Adam Carson, Ronnie Milton Sr., Ronnie Milton, Jr. and Matthew Carson.
