Peggy Joyce Mosley Sims, 78

Peggy Joyce Mosley Sims, 78, of Jasper was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 19.  Peggy was born to the late James Benjamin Mosley and Edna Mae Billingsley Mosley on October 14, 1946.  She was married to James Sims Sr. and was a member of Jasper Church of Christ.  Peggy worked in the service industry for Krystal Corporation.  She enjoyed cooking for the family, painting and crafts.  She loved flowers and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Peggy is preceded in death by her father James Benjamin Mosley, mother Edna Mae Billingsley Mosley, son Tim Sims, brothers Earl Mosley, Wayman Mosley, Harold Mosley, Darrell Mosley, and sister Shirley Mosley.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband James Sims Sr., sons Clinton (Shanon) Sims, Jason (Gretchen) Sims, brother Michael (Dorothy) Mosley, brother-in-law Dean Sims, sister Debbie (Terry) Cooper, sister-in-law’s Carolyn Mosley, Anita Mosley, Naomi Cranfield, Bitty Sims and Shirley Sims, grandchildren Brandie, Chelsea, Jay, Summer, Benjamin, Madison, Christian, Wil, Chelsey, Amber, Tucker, Taite, Jazzlynn, several great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, as well as other family members and special friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 21 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 22 at 12 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper with Pastor Bruce Leonard and Dean Sims officiating.

Peggy was laid to rest on Saturday, March 22 at Spangler Cemetery in Whitwell immediately following the funeral service.

Pallbearers were Jay, Ben, Christian, Wil, Tucker, Travis and Ben.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Tate Funeral Home, LLC, 950 Mel Dixon Lane, Jasper, Tennessee 37347, 423-942-9500.
