Patricia Jean “Pat” Price, 80

Patricia Jean “Pat” Price, 80, of South Pittsburg, passed away on Saturday, January 20, at a healthcare facility in Chattanooga, TN. Pat had a successful career with Anthem (Blue Cross Blue Shield) of Virginia and retired after more than 25 years of dedicated service.

In her free time, she enjoyed a variety of hobbies. She was known for her creativity and sewing abilities, which she often did with her friends in her free time.  She had a passion for horses, as well as spending cherished time with her family and friends and dog Dante.  Pat loved playing Bingo as well as going on shopping trips with her daughter and granddaughters. She was born to the late James Weaver and Ruby Garner Barnes of Orme, TN, on October 31, 1943.  Also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Price and son-in-law, Ernie Haskew.

Survivors include her son, James Ivan “Butch” (Mary) Brown III, daughter, Cheri Brown Haskew; grandchildren, James Christopher “Chris” (Sacha) Brown, Kellie Brown (Tom) Schindel, Jonathan (Carrie) Haskew; great-grandchildren, Craig, Adelyn, Hunter, Emma & Abby; sister-in-law, Susan Wilson, special aunt, Ruth Stewart, as well as extended family in New Canton, Virginia.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 23, at 3:30 p.m.  at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, with Pastor Erik McDaniels officiating. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Chris Brown, Jonathan Haskew, Tom Schindel, Donald Blansett, Jeff Keef and Hunter Schindel.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to MARC- Marion Animal Resource Connection, 225 Sequatchie Lane, Sequatchie, TN 37374.
