Patricia Ann Maxwell Roberts, 83

Patricia Ann Maxwell Roberts of Sequatchie, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 28, surrounded by the love of her family and pets.

Born on June 26, 1941, in Sherwood, Tennessee, Pat cherished her travels, exploring most of America and multiple foreign countries. Notable adventures included an African safari, trekking to Egypt’s Great Pyramids, and being baptized in the River Jordan, yet Sherwood remained a cherished destination.

A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, meme, and aunt, Patricia held various titles, including licensed pet groomer, homemaker, medical office manager, and business owner, with “Mother” being the most treasured. Pat was a Christian, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and dedicated years to volunteering with Red Cross Disaster Relief and jail ministry in Marion County.

Preceded in death by her parents, James Clayton Maxwell and Mary Steele Maxwell; sons, Ben Roberts, twins, Kevin and Kurt Garner; grandchildren, Tamara Morris, Tres Dotson; son-in-law, Ricky Peardon; brothers, Billy, Bud, Burley, Dewey, Jesse Maxwell; sisters, Bettie Maxwell, Dorothy Holmes, Geneva Garner, and June Haney.

Surviving family members include her husband, James Roberts; children, Nickie Peardon, Tammy (Rick) Brewington, Jim (Kellie) Garner, and Angie (Scott) Cash; sister, Hazel Hawkins; grandchildren, Kris (Laura Anderson) Morris, Tabatha (Camden) Hottes, Tiara (Clay Cooper) Stovall, Courtney (Sonny Holt) Macedo, Alex (Sydney) Cash, and Gabrielle (Tristan) Layne; great-grandchildren, Wylie and Rowdy Morris, Garner and Luke Pfeiffer, Tori Henley, Bryson Rollins, Brian and Charlotte Macedo, Bryant, Josie, Blaze, and Beau Layne; a host of loving nieces and nephews; dogs, Nova and Stormy; cats, Angel, Ghost, and Tres.

The family extends gratitude to compassionate caregivers, Shirley Magouirk, Tia Richardson, and Caris Hospice.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9, from Noon to 2:00 p.m.

Funeral services are on Sunday, March 9, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home, Jasper with Pastor Roger Webb officiating. Pat’s ashes will be entombed at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper at a later date.
