It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paige Anne Garner Morse, who left us on Monday, June 10. Paige was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, and was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born in Chattanooga in 1960, Paige was a graduate of the Girls Preparatory School and continued her education at the Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University, graduating in 1983 with a BA in English. She was also a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was a dedicated employee of the State of Tennessee for 20 years, where her commitment and passion for public service was evident in all she did.

Paige had a zest for life that was unparalleled. She found joy as a skilled watercolorist and gardener, nurturing her beautiful flowers and vegetables. Antiquing was another of her pastimes, and Paige had an eye for finding the most unique treasures. Her personality was lovely, kind, and precious. Paige had an extraordinary ability to make everyone in her presence feel comfortable and loved. She was not judgmental and made others feel as though they were the most important person in the world.

Paige leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and service to others. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all her knew her.

She was predeceased by her beloved father, Hugh P. Garner, and her precious son, Hugh Thomas. She is survived by her mother, Marilyn B. Garner; her daughter Marie (Lauren) and their children and her grandsons, Davis and Alastair; her brother, Griff (Sarah); her nieces, Jekka (Murtaza) and Meg (Brayden); and her great-niece, Sophia; great-nephew, Carter and her loving companion John.

A celebration of Paige’s life will be held on Saturday, June 15, at Pine Grove Cemetery at 243 Mel Dixon Lane, Jasper, TN. Visitation will be at that location from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the service to begin at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lasater Cemetery, P.O. Box 61, Sequatchie, TN 37374: a cause dear to Paige’s heart.

Arrangements are entrusted to Rogers Funeral Home of Jasper, TN, 21 East Fifth Street, Jasper, TN, www.rogersfuneralhome.com (423) 942-2682.
