After its completion last month, the town of Powells Crossroads welcomed with open arms a brand-new toddler’s playground set at the community’s local park.

The new addition was first announced back in February, when the Board of Mayor & Aldermen were aiming to provide a playset for children to use as part of an initiative to add more of a sense of community to families residing in the town. The project was funded through donations saved over the course of many months throughout 2024, with Tiny Tigers Daycare providing much support via t-shirt sales. The community’s fall festival also contributed to raising additional funds for the project, with residents further providing their support to the playset’s installation.

Members of the city and park boards, Tennessee American Water, as well as volunteers from the community all collaborated to make Crossroads Park’s newest addition a reality. Since its completion, the new toddler’s playset has already received much usage from eager children wanting to play, establishing it as a successful new addition to the town’s local park.
