Naomi “Joyce” Raley, 89, of South Pittsburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 1.
Joyce was of Baptist faith. Mrs. Raley began her career at Pittsburg Knitting Mills for over 30 years until she retired. After retirement she loved spending time with family and friends. There is nothing she loved more than family gatherings and the color pink.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Raley; son, Randy Raley; grandson, JoJo Griffith; great-grandson, Atticus; parents, James William and Jannie Rae Dobbins Brown; several sisters and brothers.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Billy “Butch” Raley; daughters, Beverly Moore and Kim (Ralph) Ryan; grandchildren; Ryan Raley, Whitney (Mikhal) Korchak, Shane (Candy) Moore, Betsy (Ken) Teague, Summer (David) Clark, Crystal (Frankie) Frame, Lindsey (Jeremey) Stanley, Ashley Raley; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
We would like to thank a special nurse, Kiara Dunnigan, from Red Bank for taking such good care of our mom. Mom loved Kiara and was always happy when she was on duty. Kierra loved our mom and treated her like her own.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 6, at 1 p.m. in The South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Guess officiating. Interment will follow at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tennessee.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the South Pittsburg Chapel prior to the funeral service.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Raley, Shane Moore, Landon Moore, Gage Clark, Jeremy Stanley, Mikhail Korchak and Britton Case.
The family will gather at the Fellowship Hall at Grace Baptist Church of South Pittsburg after the cemetery service.
