Myrtle Ruth Moors, 91 of South Pittsburg was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 23. On May 15, 1934 she was born to the late Frank Lawson and Alice Gray Lawson. Myrtle worked as a Sales Associate for Walmart, previously in Illinois, and was excited to transfer to Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia where she retired. She enjoyed reading her bible and going to church. Myrtle loved animals, especially her German Shepherd. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.
Myrtle is preceded in death by her father Frank Lawson, mother Alice Gray Lawson, brothers Harry Lawson, Talmadge Lawson, Roy Edward Lawson, Charles Lawson, Bill Lawson and Carl Lawson, as well as her sisters Josie Myers and Frankie Brooks.
Left to cherish her memories are several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, May 25 at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens at 10 a.m., with Pastor Ronnie Case who officiated.
Pallbearers were family members.
