Linda “Johnnie” Ruth Hardy, 85

Linda “Johnnie” Ruth Hardy, 85, of Sequatchie Mountain was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 6. On April 3, 1939, she was born to the late Milburn Shadrick and Ethel Rogers Shadrick. Johnnie was a housewife and was married to the late Ernest Hardy and attended Sequatchie Mountain Baptist Church. She loved her flowers, and gardening. Johnnie loved her children, grandchildren and taking care of her family.

Johnnie is preceded in death by her parents and husband; brothers, Kenneth Shadrick, Junior Shadrick, Lloyd Shadrick; sisters, Lou Ellen Wooten, Belle West; and grandson, Joshua Clayton Hardy.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Ken Hardy, Ernie Hardy; sisters, Frances (Gene) Parker, Sue Myers; granddaughter, Krystle Stephenson; great grandchildren, Bryan Green, James Holder, Tara Hundley; several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.

The family will hold visitation on Tuesday, December 10, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.

Funeral services are on Wednesday, December 11, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper with Pastor Gene Parker officiating. Johnnie will be laid to rest Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper immediately following the funeral service.

The pallbearers are Mike West, Ramsey West, Shane Shadrick, Jason Shadrick, Mike Hardy, and Eddie Rogers. Honorary Pallbearers are Mark Sheller and Daniel Smith.
