Susan Bodet, local beekeeper and owner of Summertime Bees, was assisted by Mary Simmons. They were special guests for local homeschoolers on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at the Carolyn Stewart Public Library, explaining how important bees are to our environment. Mrs. Bodet shared information about how they can be raised and demonstrated her protective suit. She also brought a bee box and the children were able to view safely an actual hive producing honey.
