Leslie Eugene Nunley Jr., 51, of South Pittsburg passed away on Tuesday, April 8.
Leslie was born on July 23, 1973 to the late Charlotte and Lesile Nunley.
He was employed at Colonial Chemical for fourteen years. When he wasn’t at work, he was always spending his time with his kids and grandkids. Leslie enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his friends that turned into family. He attended the Kimball Tabernacle of Praise Church.
Leslie was preceded in death by his son Jody Eugene Nunley, grandparents Charles (Catfish) Welch and Louise Welch, Beulah Vesta Nunley and Till Eugene Nunley, as well as his parents Lesile and Charlotte Nunley.
Survivors include two sons Brandon Lee Nunley and Leslie Eugene Nunley III, grandchildren Haizlee Nunley, Asher Nunley, and Charlotte Nunley, sisters Melissa (Johnny) Murray and Frances (Mitchell) Matthews, uncle Bennie Welch, aunt Opal Hailey, niece Amber Edwards and nephew Colton Edwards, in addition to a host of cousins and several friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 12 at 12 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Home Chapel in South Pittsburg with Pastor Darrell Nunley and Pastor Jerry Pittman whom officiated.
Interment was followed at Orme Mountain Cemetery.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the funeral service within the chapel.
Pallbearers were Brandon Nunley, Dirk Green, Casey Norman, Leslie Nunley III, Dustin Sneed, Dustin Young, Craig McFalls and Justin Bundy.
