Leathia Hazel Norris, 87

Leathia Hazel Norris, 87, of Charlotte, Tennessee, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 21. On September 29, 1937, she was born to the late William Henry Crawford and Martha Samples Crawford in Stevenson, Alabama. Leathia attended the Valley of Praise Church in South Pittsburg. She was a long-time resident of Bridgeport, Alabama. She was a beautiful, strong Christian woman, who loved to read her bible every day. Leathia also enjoyed books and loved and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Leathia is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Earnest William Crawford, Donald Crawford and Monroe “Bo” Ferguson.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Conni (Dan) Heard; grandchildren, Andrew Looney, Sarah Heard, Henry (Ciarra) Heard; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sherry Crawford; several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.

Visitation is on Sunday, March 2, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.

There will be a graveside service on Sunday, March 2, at 4:30 p.m. at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, with a scripture reading by Houston Thomas.

Pallbearers are Andrew Looney, Henry Heard and Dan Heard.
