Lawmen have arrested the suspected leader of a three-state meth distribution ring, the Jasper woman allegedly having narcotics ties in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.

The suspect, Tammy Stone, was arrested this past week along with Jason Hulvey who had active warrants in Alabama and Georgia. Their arrests come after an investigation involving multiple agencies according to the 12th Judicial District Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.

“The investigation has led to charges against Tammy Stone for supplying methamphetamine to individuals in Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia,” the task force revealed. “Stone was identified as a person who was obtaining large amounts of methamphetamine in the Atlanta, Georgia area and then supplying that methamphetamine to local dealers.”

The task force obtained arrest warrants in January of this year against Stone and on Sept. 7, agents initiated a traffic stop and arrested her.

“As result of that stop and subsequent search warrant executions at locations in Jasper, Tennessee and Wildwood, Georgia, agents located methamphetamine, cocaine and a large amount of United States Currency,” the task force noted, adding that there are likely more arrests coming in connection with the drug ring.
