Larry LeRoy Wilson, 71

Larry LeRoy Wilson, 71 was on born March 6, 1954 to the late Alberta Brownlee Wilson and Albert Wilson of Memphis, Tennessee.  He gained his wings on Monday, July 21 of this year.  Larry joined the United States Army in 1973 and served until 1993.  He moved to Nashville in 2011, where he met and married Patricia Mitchell in 2013.  Larry joined the local 6362 VFW Honor Awards where he served until his death.  He enjoyed going through Goodwill and looking around.  He loved working on computers. Most of all however, he was a very giving person and loved helping people.  He loved both his wife Pat and family very much.

Larry was preceded in death by his father Albert Wilson, mother Alberta Brownlee Wilson, brother Earl Wilson, aunt Alma Jordan and grandson Shon Wilson.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Patricia Mitchell Wilson, daughters Denise Wilson, Tomica Wilson, Niya (Vasudeva) Sadhoo and Elandria Wilson, step daughters Frances Paige Bynum and Aniston Laray Rich, brothers James Wilson, Roosevelt Nickelberry and Calvin Cade, sisters Martha Cook, Shirley (Malcom) Jones, Ethel Wilkens, Gladys Baptist and Ella Roberts, six grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 28 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.

Funeral services were also held on Monday, July 28 in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, with Reverend Scott Davis who officiated.

Military Honors were presented by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard at the Funeral Home.

Larry will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
