Kimball’s Board of Mayor & Aldermen (BoMA) unanimously passed three agenda items regarding the renewal for memberships of AirMedCare Network and a new Certificate of Deposit (CD).

During the meeting, all members of the council examined both items regarding the renewal of membership for AirMedCare Network, the nation’s largest air ambulance program. The first item listed was for the entire community’s membership worth $7,602 each year. The item requires the city board to pay out the membership through monthly fees worth $633.50. Additionally, the second item listed pertained the renewal of membership for both city employees and firefighters, costing $2,225 in renewal fees for 2026. After being examined, both items were officially approved by the board.

For the CD, city mayor Rex Pesnell explained the previous CDs approved from last year are set to mature this month. Because of this, he made the motion to allow the council to begin examining and accepting new quotes from local banks for the renewal a new, three month CD that would go towards the city’s general and sewer funds in the combined amount of $1.5 million. His motion was backed by Alderman John Matthews who made second motion to approve the renewal and acceptance of bank quotes for the CD. The motion has since been carried for approval by the BoMA, alongside both AirMedCare membership renewals.
