Kathy Lynn (DenBleyker) Tate, 71, of Jasper, Tennessee was called home on July 16. She was born to the late Frank Smiggen and Arda Bly Smiggen on October 10, 1952. Kathy was with her life partner of twenty-nine years Matt Tate of Jasper. She was an Insurance Agent for 1St Volunteer Insurance Company. Kathy was a big Nascar fan and loved Bill Elliot. She loved pets and would rescue any animal in need. Kathy loved eating chocolates and watching TV but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joe Smiggen.
Left to cherish her memories are her life partner, Matt Tate; daughter, Wendy (John) Shannon; sisters, Suzy (Ralph) Williams, Rebecca Comerford; grandchildren, Dixie Lynn Shannon, John Shannon, III, several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
