Johnny Michael “Mikey” Mullins, Sr., 80, of Jasper was called home on July 15. He was born to the late John Edward Mullins and Thelma Heard Mullins on April 30, 1944. Mikey was married to Vivian Gladden Mullins for fifty-nine years. He had a great sense of humor, always saying funny things. He had been a baseball coach for the Recreation Center. Mikey loved working on cars and was a Tennessee football fan. He loved his family very much and loved spending time with them.
Mikey is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard Lamar Mullins and Harry Mullins; sisters, Patricia Johnson, Marilyn Wilson and Merle Myers.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Vivian Gladden Mullins; sons, Johnny Michael (Kristy) Mullins, Jr., Mark Jason Mullins, Jeremy Shawn Mullins; daughters, Karen Dawn (Bobby) Dodd, Candy Mechelle (Ashley Hartman) Mullins; grandchildren, Justin Mullins, Bobby (Erica) Dodd, Jr., Monica Dodd, Tristan Mullins, Colton Mullins, Hayden Mullins; great grandchildren, Alexander (A. J.) George, Peyton Mullins, Ariyana Bella Dodd, Rylan Dodd, Cambree Dodd; several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
Visitation is Wednesday, July 17, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 18, at 12 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home, Jasper with Pastor David Berry officiating.
Burial will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
