Joan W. Trantham, 94, of Whitwell, was peacefully called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 21, after living a long and faithful life of service, love, and devotion to both God and those she held dear. Born on November 3, 1930, to the late Everett S. Wilkinson and Thelma P. Wilkinson, Joan’s life was defined by a deep and lasting commitment to serving others, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, wisdom, and selflessness. She graduated from Biltmore High School as the valedictorian of the Class of 1948 and furthered her education by attending business school. She was united in marriage to the late C.
