Jimmie Darrell Bennett, 78

Jimmie Darrell Bennett, 78, of Jasper was called home on March 20, 2025. On December 27, 1946, he was born to the late Joe Bennett Jr. and Sadie Keef Bennett. Jimmie was a Utility Worker for TDOT for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and taking care of his yard. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Jimmie is preceded in death by his father Joe Bennett, Jr., mother Sadie Keef Bennett, brother Ronnie (Cheryl) Bennett, and sister-in-law Debra Bennett.

Left to cherish his memories are his brothers Steve Bennett, Joey (Thelma) Bennett, Raymond (Donna) Bennett, sister Daphne (Kelly) Smith, several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 21 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, March 22 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper with Pastor Roger Webb officiating.

Jimmie was laid to rest on Saturday, March 22 at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper immediately after the funeral service.

Pallbearers were Scotty Smith, Logan Kilgore, Brian Bennett, Kevin Bennett, Jared Bennett, Kelly Smith, Greg Bennett and Kenny Bennett.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Tate Funeral Home, LLC, 950 Mel Dixon Lane, Jasper, Tennessee 37347, 423-942-9500.
