The Jasper board of Mayor and Alderman recently discussed the need for two position changes, leading to the promotion of a park employee.

Wendell Robertson, who has been with the city for a long time, recently experienced health issues that require him to slow down. Although the city values Robertson’s contributions and hopes to retain him as long as possible, he will transition to a part-time role. The board acknowledged his significance, noting that he built the iconic barn-shaped clock that greets visitors as they enter the town.

To fill the gap left by Robertson’s reduced hours, the board proposed promoting Jamie Webb to a full-time position. The board unanimously approved the changes, allowing Robertson to move to part-time and Webb to take on a full-time role.
