James Don Adams, 87 of Jasper was called home on Friday, March 14, 2025. On March 13, 1938, James was born to the late W. Monroe Adams and Mattie Mae Rector Adams. He was married to Betty Condra Adams before her death. James worked for Chattanooga Paper Board for 48 years until his retirement. He loved being outside, playing golf and camping. James loved being a Tennessee fan. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
James is preceded in death by his father W. Monroe Adams, mother Mattie Mae Rector Adams, son Rick Adams and sister Carol Woods.
Left to cherish his memories are his son Randy Adams, stepdaughters Janet Herrington and Suzanne Lawson, brother Robert Eugene Adams, sister Linda Joyce Ezell, granddaughter Kathryn Adams, great grandchild Kiayel Beasley, several nieces, nephews as well as other family members and special friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17 from 12 Noon to 1 pm at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.
A graveside service was also held on Monday, March 17 at Havron’s Chapel Cemetery at 1 pm whom Pastor Ronnie Case officiated.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
