Over the weekend the Haletown Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched the eastbound lanes of Interstate 24 at mile marker 166 for a car fire. Engines 1 and 2 responded alongside North Dade Fire Department and extinguished the fire. There were no injuries to occupants or firefighters.
