Groundwork for Jasper’s ongoing park pavilion project has begun, as OLG Services LLC recently made the announcement on Facebook.
A project long in the making for the Jasper community since 2024, the park pavilion project is a new public facility to be constructed within Jasper City Park. According to OLG Services in a post made on Facebook, the structure will be 3,839 square feet and will feature a complete concession area, public restrooms, and a new built in fireplace for the public to use during the colder months.
“Jasper folks are excited and we’re proud to be part of bringing it to life,” OLG posted.
OLG became the winning contractor and bidder for the project during the town’s October 2025 meeting. There, the Jasper Board of Mayor & Aldermen unanimously voted to accept the construction firm’s $1,631,200 bid for the structure’s construction. Prior to the meeting, discussion surrounding the project was mentioned earlier in the year in February, where bidding for the project was first discussed among members of the city council.
In addition to the fireplace and concession stand, the structure has been described as being 50 feet in width and will contain seating for 250 individuals. The facility has also been described to feature new rollout doors and can be used year round, further ensuring a brand new facility for residents and visitors to use once completed.
