Gladys Sisk Spangler, 87

Gladys Sisk Spangler, 87, of Whitwell, Tennessee passed away on July 11.  On June 28, 1937, she was born to the late William Sisk and Josie Hass Sisk. Gladys was a member of the Jasper Church of Christ.  She was married to D. C. Spangler for sixty-seven years. Gladys was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Gladys is preceded in death by her father, William Sisk; mother, Josie Hass Sisk; brothers, Raymond Sisk, Edgar Sisk, Melvin Sisk, Lester Sisk, Carl Sisk and sister, Marilyn Smith.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, D. C. Spangler; sons, David (Rhonda) Spangler, Johnny (Joanie) Spangler; brother, Joe (Mary) Sisk; grandchildren, Candace Triplett, Curtis and Crystal Spangler, John Douglas and Candace Spangler, Jennifer and Chris Lawson; great grandchildren, Brynley Oliver, Reece Oliver, Courtneigh Spangler, Hunter Spangler, Brantley Lawson, Cara Spangler; great-great granddaughter, Harper Mae Diaz, special friends, Dorothy Parker, Darlene Barnes, Marie Spangler, several nieces, nephews other family members and friends.

Visitation was Saturday, July 13, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, July 14, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee. Funeral services were on Sunday, July 14, at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with George Cupp officiating. Gladys was laid to rest at Spangler Cemetery in Whitwell, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service. Pallbearers were Curtis Spangler, John Douglas Spangler, Chris Lawson, C. L. Sisk, Kenneth Sisk and Mike Smith.
