Gina Slatton, 57 of Jasper was called home on Wednesday, June 25. On June 5, 1968, she was born to the late James Slatton and Nellie VanHoosier in South Pittsburg. Gina loved her grandchildren, family get togethers, as well as gospel music.
Gina is preceded in death by her father James Slatton, mother Nellie VanHoosier, brother Eugene Slatton, nephew Josh Slatton and niece Nancy Slatton.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Makayla (Evan) Jordan, brothers Rexy (Betty) Slatton, Ricky Slatton and Edward (Sue) Slatton, sister Susie (Ron) Zirk, grandchildren Oakleigh, Bailee and James Jordan, nieces Tashia Zirk (Josh Cotton), Lacey (Kyle) Carter and Ryan Slatton, nephews Mark Slatton, Jason (Tabitha) Slatton and Chris (Tammy) Slatton, several great nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 27 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.
Funeral services were also held on Friday, June 27 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, with Pastor Corey Hamilton who officiated.
Gina was laid to rest on Friday, June 27 at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper immediately after the funeral services were held.
Pallbearers were Evan Jordan, Kyle Carter, Josh Cotton, Mark Slatton, Nathaniel Strong, Jerry Hamilton and Bailey Evans.
